PSYCHOLOGY

Psychological Therapies are for those who are seeking strategies to support them to manage challenging situations, emotions, distress or behaviours, or those who have experienced situational (e.g. a traumatic event) or attachment-related trauma. Psychological therapy involves a range of techniques to treat mental health issues in a safe space. Psychological therapy is excellent for young people who require the systems around them to understand them and their mental health experiences.  During therapy you explore your difficulties and develop healthy coping strategies to respond to challenging situations.

Therapy modalities utilised by our Psychologists include:

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy  (CBT)

  • Art Therapy

  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Brief Interpersonal Psychotherapy

  • Couple Therapy

  • Family Therapy
