Clinical Psychologist
Clare is a warm and compassionate clinician who has worked collaboratively with individuals across the lifespan for over 25 years. Clare’s strength is her ability to form a comfortable and supportive therapeutic relationship, providing practical and effective coping strategies. Clare is dedicated to helping individuals alleviate emotional distress, enhance wellbeing, and improve quality of life.
As a Clinical Psychologist, Clare has worked across a diverse range of settings including community psychiatry, inpatient and outpatient pain rehabilitation, primary and secondary schools, and private practice.
Clare provides psychological assessment and treatment across a broad range of issues and disorders such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, insomnia, adjusting to life events and transitions, with a particular interest in eating and weight management issues. Clare also specializes in providing individual therapy and group workshops for neurodiverse children and adolescents, developing their emotional regulation and social skills to build and maintain healthy relationships. Clare is passionate about supporting parents and carers in navigating the challenges of parenting.
Clare’s individually tailored treatments utilise a client-centred approach grounded in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and a variety of evidence-based therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy.
Having completed a Master of Psychology (Clinical), Clare is registered by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and holds a full membership of the Australian Psychological Society and the College of Clinical Psychology.
Fees:
The cost of a 50-minute consultation is $240 payable at the end of the session.
Fees for Health Care Card holders are negotiable.
Individuals who have a current Mental Health Care Plan can claim a Medicare rebate of $141.85 per session limited to 10 sessions per calendar year.
Private Health Insurance rebates may also be applicable.
Referrals are accepted from Transport Accident Commission (TAC), National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
