Psychologist (Clinical Reigstrar)
Alix works with school-aged children, adolescents, adults and older adults experiencing a range of mental health concerns. She brings a warm, collaborative style to therapy, tailoring her approach to each individual’s needs and drawing on modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT; CBT-ERP), Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT; EFT-C) and values-based mindfulness and play practices.
Alix has particular interest in treatments for anxiety (social and generalised anxiety, panic disorder, agoraphobia and OCD), depression (including geriatric depression), trauma, stress and burnout, and the challenges that come with major life adjustments.
She works closely with young people and families navigating bullying and school-based difficulties, including childhood trauma-focused work, and supports individuals exploring relationship and intimacy-related concerns — including diverse relationship structures, connection and sexuality — as well as broader family issues. Alix also has skills and experience supporting people through acute stress arising from work-related interpersonal difficulties, including bullying, victimisation and harassment in employment settings.
Alix offers an inclusive and affirming practice for LGBTIQA+, neurodivergent and culturally diverse people, and those who care for them.
Alix holds a Master of Psychology (Clinical Psychology) and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology (Advanced). She is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Registered to provide services to Medicare, WorkCover, TAC, and private health fund clients (clients to confirm insurance with their fund).
